Title:   Obreros Unidos clippings and photographs, 1966-1969

Summary:    Microfilmed newsclippings relating to the Obreros Unidos movement organized among migrant workers in the Wautoma, Wisconsin, area by Jesus Salas. The clippings primarily refer to a 1966 march to Madison to publicize labor camp conditions and the need for a minimum wage.

Documents include: petitions, memorials, communications, and claims addressed to the Board; reports of county officers and of Board committees; resolutions and ordinances; and other papers relating to the operations, services, finances, planning, and policy of county government. Summary:    Research files of local historian, Della Rucker. Collection includes papers and documents that she obtained or created while researching a book on Oconto County history for the Oconto County Economic Development Corporation. It includes articles, interview notes, and letters on topics such as town settlement, electricity, logging camps, equipment, agriculture, ecological surveys, tourism, types of transportation, etc. There are also some copies of photos from the early 1900s of towns in Oconto County.

Title:   Sanborn fire insurance maps. Wisconsin

Summary:    Sanborn maps are detailed maps of U.S. cities and towns in the 19th and 20th centuries. Originally published by The Sanborn Map Company (Sanborn), the maps were created to allow fire insurance companies to assess their total liability in urbanized areas of the United States. They contain detailed information about properties and individual buildings and are are valuable for documenting changes in the built environment in American cities over many decades. This collection should give a physical layout of the Company.

Title:   Oral history interview with LaVern H. Timmerman 1976-1977

Summary:    Interview conducted by Dale Treleven of the Historical Society staff with Father La Vern H. Timmerman, concerning his family, the work of a priest in rural Wisconsin communities, and Timmerman's activities with the Wisconsin Farmers Union, Father Urban Baer and the National Catholic Rural Life Conference, and migrant workers.

Author/Creator:     Trowbridge, Planert & Schaefer Law Firm (Green Bay, Wis.)

Title:   Records, 1876-1972

Summary:    Records of Trowbridge, Planert & Schaefer, a firm which practiced civil law on behalf of individuals, small businesses, and a few large corporate clients. Consisting of correspondence (1876-1905), financial records (1891-1951), attorneys' personal papers, and extensive case files, the records largely document operation of the legal system outside formal court proceedings. Among the most informative materials are those discussing debtors' financial conditions and various strategies in debt collection cases, and those concerning negotiation of settlements between insurance firms and automobile accident victims.  Collection contains case files specific to Bond Pickle Company which was a client.
