Summary:    Records of the bureau's mental health program primarily consisting of information on training programs, conferences, and workshops held in conjunction with local school, city, district, and county health officers and university faculty Files include detailed narrative reports prepared by bureau consultants, correspondence, memoranda, writings, minutes, bibliographies, brochures, statistics, and information on films and other outreach programs. Some projects are documented by case studies of individuals. Includes one folder on migrant worker research study.

Summary: Records, mainly 1965-1978, of various migrant health programs in central Wisconsin, including public health nursing, dental, and nutritional components of the Bureau of Community Health and Prevention; other health projects administered by non-profit organizations, churches, and local governments largely funded by grants made available through the Migrant Health Act of 1962 (P.L. 87-692); records of committees appointed by Wisconsin governors; and materials from conferences focusing on health care for migrant workers.  See the finding aid which provides a good history of the health laws related to migrant workers. There are some materials specific to Oconto County. Ignore conference materials.

Title:   Annual enumeration of farm statistics by assessors, 1923-1980

Summary: Reports of farm statistics gathered by local assessors under Chapter 131, Laws of Wisconsin, 1917, and submitted to the United States and Wisconsin Departments of Agriculture. For each farm, the reports show name of farm operator, acres of specified crops planted and harvested, number of cattle and other specified livestock, farm machinery owned, and number of people residing on the farm. The categories of information included in the reports vary slightly over the years. Reports for some counties for some years were missing at the time the records were microfilmed. Oconto County only. Cucumber and vegetable growing may not be part of these statistics.

Summary:    Records, 1943-1973 (Bulk 1963-1973), of the Department of Industry, Labor, and Human Relations consist of minutes, correspondence, and numerous reports. These materials were gathered from the Governor's Committee on Migratory Labor, the Governor's Health Planning and Policy Task Force, and the United Migrant Opportunity Services, Inc. (UMOS) as well as other committees. Also of interest is a report of the Wisconsin Farm Labor program, 1943-1947.
