Summary:    Material on the creation or revision of rules of administrative rules of the Division of Health, 1940-1977. The files include preliminary work of study committees, authorizations to hold hearings, notices of hearings, transcripts of hearings, attendance lists, exhibits, and copies of rules as they are adopted by the Health and Social Services Board and published in the Wisconsin Administrative Code.  Files contain information on codes and regulations pertaining to migrant camps.

Summary:    Studies, reports, and related correspondence on occupational health conditions in industrial plants, small businesses, and government offices that were conducted upon the request of management, labor unions, the Industrial Commission, insurance carriers, or employees; mainly documenting noise and radiation levels, and atmospheric concentrations of lead, carbon monoxide, dust, and other potentially dangerous substances in the work place. Title:   Migrant nursing project, 1951-1978

Summary:    Records, mainly 1960s and 1970s, of public health nurses working among migrant workers in central Wisconsin. Included are monthly and seasonal progress reports, employment and demographic data on migrants, program policy statements, instructional materials (mostly in Spanish); correspondence between field nurses and public health supervisors; reports on La Clinica de los Campesinos, a non-profit health care clinic for migrant workers located in Wild Rose, Wisconsin; and records related to the Migrant Health Referral Project, 1964-1975.

Title:   Farm placement clearance orders and workers schedule, 1970-1973

Summary:    File consists of clearance orders placed by companies with the Wisconsin State Employment Service for migrant workers and the workers’ schedule. The clearance orders specify the type of industry, type of work to be done, and the number of workers needed. The workers schedule supplies the number of agricultural workers coming to Wisconsin from each state. The clearance orders and schedules are filed together by employer name.
