Step by Step Process

Plan Your Week Out

  • Set aside 1-2 hours per week to plan out your week.
  • Choose either a Sunday night or Monday morning to do your planning and stick to this schedule.
  • Identify tasks that need to be done within the week and break them down into daily tasks.

Use a Calendar or App

  • Decide where you will write your weekly plan out -- a paper calendar, the computer, an app, or in both areas.
  • Connect all your calendars so that you can sync them.

Time/ Task Blocking

  • Have fixed times that remain the same week after week (class times, work, family time, etc.).
  • Have flexible times that can change depending on the week (planning time, study times, hobbies/exercise, extracurriculars, etc.).

Priority Lists

  • List out the weekly tasks that need to be completed.
  • Break down the tasks into small "to-do's".
  • Rank them in priority based on what needs to be done.
