Fine Appeal
You can appeal a library fine within 28 days of receiving your fine notice. Notices are sent to your UW-Green Bay email. Use the Library Fines Appeal Form linked below to submit your request.
We’ll review your appeal within two weeks. Decisions are based on your statement, library account history, past appeals, total charges, and any other relevant information. Be specific - detailed explanations help us better understand your situation.
Appeals won’t be approved for reasons like:
- Not knowing library policies
- Not getting the email notice
- Forgetting due dates
- Disagreeing with fine amounts
- Not being able to pay
- Lending items to someone else
- Returning items to the wrong library
- Being out of town
The decision made by the library is final.
If you wish to appeal a library fine, fill out the online Library Fines Appeal form.
