Computers
Cofrin Library has computer workstations in the Schneider National Foundation Library Research Lab (CL 304). They are available for use by current UW-Green Bay students, faculty and staff when the room is not reserved for class use. There are also 3 computers in the open space on the 3rd floor, and one each in study rooms 506L and 606L. These study rooms are reservable online. Current UW-Green Bay students may checkout laptops for either two-weeks or for a semester.
Visitors may access library resources using the kiosk on the 3rd floor.
To see what software is available on library computers, see GBIT’s software availability documentation.
Printing
There is one color or black and white printer, a tabloid (11x17) printer, and a black and white copier on the 3rd floor of the Cofrin Library. There is one black and white printer on the 2nd floor in the Library Commons.
GBIT has more information about printing, including costs and directions.
Visitors can print from the kiosk or copy with a guest card. Ask for one at the 3rd floor Circulation Desk. They are available in $1-$5 amounts. You can add money to your guest card at the University Union Ticketing and Information Center.
Scanner/Copier
There is a scanner/copier on the 3rd floor that can be used to scan color to email for free.
Audio Recording Room
The Audio Recording Room can be used to record audio using a computer, professional mixer, and microphones. The computer in the room or a laptop can be connected to the mixer so that users can record using an audio editing application, like Audacity.
To reserve the room, you must complete an audio recording training in Canvas, then set up a practice session with Kate Farley. This room can be reserved for private use for up to 3 hours at a time, on a first-come, first-served basis. The room can be reserved online or the service desk on the 3rd floor of the Cofrin Library. Sign up for the Audio Recording Training course. Email Kate Farley with questions or concerns.
One-Button Studio
The One Button Studio, located on the 5th floor of the Cofrin Library (505A), offers UW-Green Bay staff, faculty, and students the ability to record videos and presentations through an easy-to-use computer and recording set up. To reserve this room, please sign up for the Audio Recording Training course. After completing the training module labeled "Green Bay: One Button Studio, Cofrin Library 505 A" and reviewing the room's equipment, you can reserve the room.
