Our Collections

A variety of CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays are available to check out. Resources include classical and contemporary music recordings, academic documentaries, popular films, and audiobooks. 

The main collection of our print resources, also called the "stacks." The stacks are organized using the Library of Congress classification system. Large books are shelved separately in the “oversize” section of the collection. 

Caregiver kits contain age-appropriate toys for children age 12 and under. There are kits available for different age groups and sensory-friendly kits with toys appropriate for children ages 2 and older. See the available kits.

In collaboration with the Center for First Nations Education, a collection of materials is available at the Cofrin Library centering on First Nations history, research, law, and literature. Materials have been curated by the CFNE faculty and include a number of works written by First Nations people. Browse the collection virtually. 

Almost 90% of the Library collection is available online and searchable through the website. The Library offers a variety of materials electronically that are available to access 24/7 both on and off campus with a UW-Green Bay login.

A collection of board games, role-playing game books, and dice is available at the Cofrin Library. Browse the collection virtually.

The Cofrin Library is a designated depository library for U.S. and Wisconsin government publications. While many publications are available online, a selection remain available in print at the library. More information on government publications can be found in the Government Publications guide.

The Cofrin Library offers a small collection of graphic novels including subjects such as historical fiction, memoirs, classic retellings, and more.

The Cofrin Library houses the music collection for the Green Bay music community, thanks to a donation by Dr. Herb Cousssons.

The Cofrin Library maintains a collection of materials to support educators, students, and researchers of primary and secondary teaching and learning. Resources included in this collection include sample textbooks, curriculum guides, teachers’ manuals, and workbooks.

A subset of the IMC, called IMC Reading, is located at the Cofrin Library and consists of children’s literature with an emphasis on multicultural stories and authors.

The Sheboygan Library maintains a collection of children’s literature, with materials ranging in age groups from early childhood to young adult.

A series of online collections organized by the UW-Green Bay Library staff. Collections include digitized audio, documents, photos, and videos about UW-Green Bay’s history and Northeastern Wisconsin; digitized manuscript collections from the Archives; and digital collections of works created by UW-Green Bay students, faculty, and staff. The Library maintain small print collections of academic journals (also known as periodicals), magazines, and local newspapers. Titles are available in print volumes or microfilm. To check the availability of a specific journal title, please use our journal search.

The Sheboygan Library maintains a collection of atlases with content ranging from local aerials to images of the solar system.

The Cofrin Library houses a collection of microfilm of archival years of academic journals and magazines.  Consult library staff for assistance accessing and using these resources.

A collection of music scores is available at the Cofrin Library. The collection consists of a wide range of compositions and musical works, with variety in time period, composers, formats, and arrangements.

A small collection of books is available at each library for leisure reading. The collections include fiction, memoirs, and self-help books. Browse the Cofrin Library collection virtually or visit the Sheboygan library to see what's available.

The reference collection provides easy access to information for research purposes. Reference materials can aid in fact-checking and initial research inquiries and can include encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, and other authoritative sources. The Sheboygan Library houses the Reference collection separately from their other materials. The Cofrin Library reference materials have been incorporated into the main collection/stacks.

University Archives contains complete files of virtually every university-generated publication, departmental and administrative records, and the records of individual faculty members. The Area Research Center is the official repository for the Wisconsin Historical Society’s collections of manuscripts and public records relating to Northeastern Wisconsin. Special Collections include print materials pertaining to Northeastern Wisconsin history. Types of materials include books, census records, photographs, oral histories, Belgian-American research materials, and maps. See the Archives webpages for more information.

A zine (from the word magazine or fanzine) is self-published, small circulation, non-commercial publication typically covering a niche or unconventional topic or cultural phenomenon. The Cofrin Library houses a small collection of these unique publications, some of which were created by UW-Green Bay students.
