Find reviews in Search@UW

Step 1: Develop keywords

Try searching for the title of your film in quotation marks (i,e, "dances with wolves") AND the word "film" or "film criticism" Since many films are based on books, adding the term film will help weed out sources that are referring to books rather than movies.

Search@UW search using the keywords "Dances with wolves" AND film

Step 2: Limit by resource type

To locate reviews from journals and magazines, use the left side menu to limit under resource type to "reviews" and  select "apply filter."

To locate reviews of films from newspaper sources, use the left side menu and limit to "newspaper search" under "resource type."

Step 3: Expand your search (optional)

If the initial results don't have what you need, you can "expand your search" to items you can place a request for. To do this, under the "refine my results" in the left side menu, to ggle on the "add results that require delivery time" to expand your search. Be sure to keep the "review" filter on.
