Company & Industry Information

Use the three databases below to find detailed company reports, including overviews, financials, competitors, and more. Each source provides different types of information, so it’s a good idea to try more than one.

Business Source Complete

How to search:

1. Go to Business Source Complete.
2. Type the name of the company in the search bar, and click the magnifying class or press enter to search.
3. On the Results page, click the Source Type dropdown under the search box.
4. Select Company Profiles, then click Apply to filter your results.

MarketLine reports contain:

• Company Overview
• History
• Key Employees
• Major Products & Services
• Revenue Analysis
• SWOT Analysis
• Competitors
• Locations & Subsidiaries

One Business

How to search:

1. Go to One Business.
2. From the Advanced Search screen (which opens by default), select Company Reports in the left sidebar.
3. Enter the name of the company in the search box and click the Search button.
4. Choose a report from the results list. Click on Full Text - PDF to view the full report.

Reports may include:

• Company Overview

• Top Employee & Board Member Biographies
• Company Financials
• Competitors

Westlaw Campus Research

How to search:

1. Go to Westlaw Campus Research.
2. From the homepage, select Company Investigator.
3. Enter the name of the company and select the correct result.
4. Go to the Reports tab to view available documents.

You can also click News from the Westlaw homepage to search for articles about your company.

Business Source Complete Company Reports

1. If you're not already there, go to Business Source Complete.
2. Type the name of the company in the search bar, and click the magnifying class or press enter to search.
   
3. If there is a MarketLine profile matching the company name, it will appear first on the results page. If you don't see a match, select the Source Type dropdown under the search box.
4. Select Company Profiles, then click Apply to filter your results.
   

One Business (ProQuest) Company Reports

1. If you are not already there, navigate to the Advanced Search page by clicking the more options button in the top left corner.
   
2. Click on Company Reports in the left sidebar and enter your company name in the search box.
   
3. In order to find the most recent reports, you may want to set a Publication Date limiter.
    
4. OPTIONAL: If you are looking for something specific, you can use the checkboxes at the bottom of the page. For example, your professor may have recommended Hoover's Company Profiles, which are provided by the well-known company Mergent. Or you may know that you need a report that includes a SWOT analysis.
5. Click on Abstract/Details for a brief summary of the report, or on Full text - PDF to read the whole thing.
