Introduction

Use the steps below to find or create permalinks for resources from specific databases or vendors. If your database isn't listed here, just ask a librarian.

Please don’t copy and paste the URL from your browser's address bar unless these instructions tell you to. It usually won’t work as a stable link for students.

Ebook Central

  1. When viewing a book, click Share Link to Book on the left-side menu.
    Click on Share Link to Book

  2. Copy the URL. This link will allow UW-Green Bay users to access the book from on and off-campus.

EBSCO eBook Collection

  1. On the Detailed Record page for a book, click on Permalink on the right-side menu.

  2. Copy the permalink URL. This link will allow UW-Green Bay users to access the book from on and off-campus.

Brill E-book Collections

  1. When viewing a book, select Product Details on the right side of the page.

  2. Copy the DOI URL.

  3. Paste the DOI after the UW-Green Bay Library's proxy server URL in this box:

  4. Copy the combined URL. This link will allow UW-Green Bay users to access the book from on and off-campus.

Humanities E-books (ACLS)

  1. When viewing a book, copy the Citable Link.

  2. Paste the Citable Link after the UW-Green Bay Library's proxy server URL in this box:

  3. Copy the combined URL. This link will allow UW-Green Bay users to access the book from on and off-campus.

Very Short Introductions (Oxford)

An entire book

  1. When viewing a book, and the DOI URL.

  2. Paste the DOI URL after the UW-Green Bay Library's proxy server in this box:

  3. Copy the new URL you made in the above box. This link will allow UW-Green Bay users to access the book from on and off-campus.

A book chapter

  1. When viewing a chapter, find the DOI URL for the chapter.

  2. Paste the DOI URL after the UW-Green Bay Library's proxy server in this box:

  3. Copy the new URL you made in the above box. This link will allow UW-Green Bay users to access the chapter from on and off-campus.
